Got the Spool File Blues?g

HCS has the cure! By taking advantage of the features available with IBM Infoprint Server for the eServer i5, HCS has added the ability to view reports and forms in PDF format and then email reports either automatically or on demand. In addition, the bill archive feature in the HCS Accounts Receivable Module has been reworked in order to simplify the storage and retrieval of bills and statements. With the new feature, "Display User Reports," it is easier than ever to find, display, and print your reports.

Would you like to view a facesheet in the exact format it prints without having to actually print it? There is now a new option to do just that in the HCS Registration Module. Select the resident, request to view a facesheet, and the facesheet is displayed in PDF format. The same functionality has been added for the physician order report, medical administration record (MAR), treatment administration record (TAR), and plan of care.

Want to view a copy of a resident statement exactly as it looked when it was produced? The view bill option in the bill history now displays the statement in PDF format. The same holds true for UB92, 1500, and all other bill forms produced.

Need to email a copy of a resident statement? There is a new option in bill history. Select the bill and the option to email and you are prompted to enter an email address. A PDF version of the statement will be sent to the addressee.

Are there some daily reports you want to automatically email to one or more people? By simply updating the report definition to be emailed to the desired people, you never again have to worry about making sure reports get distributed.

Do you have trouble finding the report you asked to run? A new user friendly report listing has been created that includes the title of the report. No more trying to decipher a spool file name. And, of course, you can view or email the report in PDF format.
